Martin Freeman

Martin Freeman is an Emmy & BAFTA award-winning actor, most recently receiving an International Emmy for Best Actor and BAFTA TV Leading Actor nomination for his role in The Responder, written by breakthrough talent Tony Schumacher. Produced by Dancing Ledge for BBC, the series was championed by Charlotte Moore and Piers Wenger, directed by Tim Mielants, Philip Barantini and Fien Troch and became a smash hit with critics and viewers in the UK and internationally.

Martin has had leading roles in some of the most successful and groundbreaking television & film, playing to huge audiences around the world, such as Stephen Moffat/Mark Gatiss's Sherlock and Ricky Gervais/Stephen Marchant's The Office, both for BBC, and blockbusters Black Panther 1 & 2 for director Ryan Coogler, Captain America: Civil War for Anthony & Joe Russo, The Hobbit trilogy for director Peter Jackson, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, for director Garth Jennings & Nick Goldsmith, Richard Curtis' Love Actually, Breaking & Entering for Anthony Minghella. 

High end television dramas include Marvel's Secret Invasion, Breeders for FX/Sky, StartUp for Crackle/Sony and the first series of the award-winning Fargo for FX/Hulu, written by Noah Hawley and directed by Adam Bernstein.

Martin has worked extensively in theatre, in the West End and for new writing venues such as the Royal Court and Soho Theatre, performing both classics and new writing for theatre directors and writers including Jamie Lloyd, James Graham, Bruce Norris and producers Headlong, Michael Grandage Company, Jamie Lloyd Company, ATG and Wessex Grove's Emily Vaughan-Barratt.
